What Meridian is
Meridian is a free web directory — a manually catalogued index of 834 working websites, recorded across 22 sections. Think of it as a field notebook for the web: each site noted by domain, title, and a brief description of what it does.
Unlike automated crawlers, Meridian is assembled by hand. Each entry is a deliberate notation — a site that was found, reviewed, and recorded in the relevant section. Nothing is ranked by algorithm or weighted by traffic; sites appear in the order they were submitted.
The 22 sections span a wide range of industries and interests: from wagers and gaming, medicine and clinics, and software and platforms, through to expeditions and travel, print and display, and general entries. If a site fits a section, that is where it is noted.
Meridian is free to browse and free to submit. There is no account, no fee, and no tracking. Add your site through the form on any section page — it will be reviewed and, if approved, noted in the index within a short time.
The directory is maintained and updated as new submissions come in. Domains that go offline are removed from the active record during periodic reviews. The goal is a useful, accurate, hand-kept index of working sites on the open web.
